Ruffled Feathers took part in Eyemouth High School's India Day - a day full of visiting artists, muscians and craftspeople.
Kerry, our workshop leader undertook a project to create a giant peacock with a group of 10 students. Over a day we made willow feathers that we covered and decorated. A willow body which was covered with material, the head, neck and legs.
The resulting puppet was a humourous "ride on" peacock. The students took great pride in it as they, with instruction and supervision, had led the project in the overall look of the peacock.
He was pranced around at a celebratory concert for family and visitors in the evening.
